VOTING OPEN TO DETERMINE 2018 MALE BOWLERS OF THE YEAR

Bowls England has today opened the voting to determine the 2018 Male Bowler of the Year and Young Male Bowler of the Year Award, sponsored by Taylor Bowls and Bowls International respectively.

Following the success of the inaugural vote at the Women’s Annual Dinner and Presentation of Prizes in November, a shortlist for each award has been compiled, with a public vote then taking place to crown the respective winners.

Bowls England Chief Executive Tony Allcock MBE said: “We are pleased that Taylor Bowls and Bowls International continue to sponsor these highly respected and prestigious awards and we thank them for their support.”

Sian Honnor, editor of Bowls International, said: “It is important to recognise excellent achievement and the shortlisted players are those that stood out in a strong field.

Online voting for the Male Bowler of the Year and Young Male Bowler of the Year Awards runs until noon on Friday 22nd February, with the winners announced at the Bowls England Men’s Annual Dinner and Presentation of Prizes at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry on Saturday 23rd February.
