WHAT’S IT FOR?

  1. To provide a small gift to members who are sick or in hospital to show that they have not been forgotten (at present about £25).  Club Official to contact Alan Butler, the Benevolent Association Treasurer for permission, tel. 01288 355254. If, as a Club Member, you know of anyone in your Club who you think could benefit, please contact your Club Secretary/Welfare Officer.
  2. To help those members or dependants who are in need or distress  – members or dependants in hospital who need assistance with transport or members who need assistance with temporary accommodation  (letter to Christine Hore, Administrator or Alan Butler,  Benevolent Association Treasurer with explanation of situation).
  3. One off purchases of equipment to be loaned to individuals based on their needs (e.g. bowlers arm).

HOW IS THE MONEY RAISED?

  1. A levy of 10p on all Bowls Cornwall affiliated members
  2. Entry fees from the Ladies Two Wood Pairs competition
  3. Joining fee for the Vice-Presidents’ Association (Subscription £2 per person)
  4. Member’s green fees and the ‘spider’ monies from Vice-Presidents’ matches
