The Under 18’s Pairs competition was held at Chacewater on Friday 31st May.  The draw was made on the day and as 13 players arrived to take part it was agreed to have 5 pairs and 1 triple so that everyone could participate.

The winners of the competition were Alex Martin of St. Stephen in Brannel and Jordan Sanders of Falmouth who beat Alasdair Williams of Porthleven and Danielle Scandrett of Bickford Smith in the Final.  The Winners and Runners Up Trophies were presented by Mike McPherson, Senior Vice President of Bowls Cornwall.

The other competitors were Zack Goddard and Cameron McKenzie of Bickford Smith; Jack Whitford of Chacewater; Jade McCarthy of Hayle, Leah Read, Katie Sturtridge, and Mark Wherry of St. Austell; and Jack and Sam Richards of St. Columb.  A token gift was given to all who participated.

A large number of parents and supporters also attended the competitions and it was great to see these young people enjoying themselves and applauding each others’ good bowls.
