Max Richards of Stenalees Bowling Club was made a Life Member of the English Bowls Umpires Association at the Association’s recent AGM in recongition of the work undertaken for the Umpires Association.
Max first qualified as a National Umpire in 1975 well before the Umpires Association came into being and still has the Certicate from the English Bowling Association signed by the Secretary, Jimmy Elms.
Max became the Cornwall County Co-ordinator of the English Bowls Umpires Association in 1987.
