Colin Smith, David Parr, Nigel Laity and Colin Binny of Chacewater Bowling Club have won the Bowls England National Fours Championship, sponsored by Coaguchek.
They defeated the Cambridgeshire rink of Roger Mansfield, Les Bradford, Neil Flack and Steve Jacobs from Sawston BC in the final winning 27 – 7.
Earlier Cornwall picked up nine shots without reply over the last four ends to defeat Joe Melmore Matt Bass, Sam Tolchard and Jamie Chestney from Kings BC, Devon winning 19 – 17.
They will represent England in the Fours in the British Isles Championship at Leamington next June.
Congratulations to Colin, David, Nigel and Colin on their wonderful achievement and wishing them every success for next year. This is an excellent achievement for the Chacewater Club and for Cornwall. We are all very proud of their success, very well done on behalf of Bowls Cornwall.
Other successes at Worthing were David Parr and Colin Binny reaching the third round of the Pairs and Carnon Downs reaching the Semi- final in the Club Two Fours .
