On Sunday 19th April President Helen Pollard took a party of 46 Bowls Cornwall tourists to Weston-Super-Mare for a week of bowling and fun.

Fine weather accompanied us throughout the week.

Games were arranged at St Andrews BC, Banwell BC, Ashcombe Park BC, Clevedon BC, Clevedon Promende BC and finishing with a 10 rink game against a mixed Somerset County team at Clarence Park. It was a successful tour resulting in 4 wins and 2 defeats.

A gala dinner was held on the Friday evening which was attended by Somerset County Ladies President and the Somerset Ladies administrator. Top bowler prizes were awarded to Pat Brunskill for the Ladies and Michael Jennings for the Men, and after dinner entertainment was provided by Helen Pollard, Cynthia May and Peter Prynne
